Kafr Kanna is where Jesus performed his first recorded miracle of turning water into wine (John 2:11).
The Franciscan Church was built in 1879 in the middle of the village.
The twin towers are modeled after the cathedral in Salzburg, Austria, and consecrated in 1881.
